Hern’s Tribe meets for each of the 8 seasonal festivals, in an outdoor woodland setting, for rituals and socials. These are generally closed events. However there are `special open socials’ at various times, as well as open rituals at Beltane, Midsummer & Lammas. This is ideal for interested people who would like to explore our shamanic ways with a view to joining Hern’s Tribe.
Inspired by the TV series `Robin of Sherwood’ and stories of the Windsor-Hern myths, we began to build Hern’s Tribe in 2004. Now in our 8th Year, we have undergone many changes.. (read more of the history)..
Our Open Ritual Styles:
We are are known for reworking fairy tales and stories into modern day tribal ritual dramas! (remember the PFL Yule 2009, with Ghosts of Yule past, present future? And what about the Dragons, Eagle & Wren competing at PFL Autumn Ritual in 2010? The fabulous opening ceremony at Beltane Bash 5 yrs ago, retelling what really happened at Garden of Eden?!! Going back even further, we also the Medieval Witches Ball (CoA) Imbolc Closing ritual back in 2004, and the `2011 SpaceOddessy’ themed Pagan Federation Conference Ritual in 2004 ). Ht also re-surrected an old english tradition of `Swearing on the Horns’ at High Gate park, some 3-4 yrs ago. We’ll be doing that again in Autumn 2011.
HT inspires to develop practical Craft skills such as Arrow /flint knapping, preparing skulls/skin from dead animals, shamanic dream-quests, native animal totemic work, fire-making, tribal cooking & camping and much more.

Eclipse Magic workbook: Lean to use the esoteric energies of the Lunar and solar eclipses for personal power!
Every year, there are at least 2 pairs of Eclipses taking place! We all live through Solar and Lunar Eclipses, and yet few magicians ride the magical currents of Eclipses - opportunities for doing powerful magical or psychic work that can be life-changing.
Next Solar Eclipse occurs on 20th May, and the lunar one on 4th June. Learn how to use their science & magic to stellar engineer your life!
This is a world 1st book on Eclipse magic - written by Mani Navasothy, Astrologer, Wiccan High Priest, Psychologist and a Physicist, and above all - a secret practitioner of Eclipse-Magic for over a decade. The time is now - for sharing that real, personal, experiential knowledge!! visit www.EclipseMagic.co.uk to find out more!

- Travel & meeting point
Travel / Meeting point: `This varies in 2012. Details will be provided for each Gathering. .
- Health & Safety
Hern’s Tribe events are small group private events, but open to guests and new comers. Individuals are responsible for their own health & Safety. The walk from tram stop to ritual spot is only about 10 minutes bt involves a few steep drops/ climbs that are slippery when wet. It is NOT suitable if you have any walking/ bad-back disability.
- Weather
Weather / safety Our outdoor events go ahead whatever the weather. It’s outdoors in the wild. We have to adapt to the environment as much as possible. We can offer guidelines but you are responsible for yourself. Raincoats/ umbrellas, warm winter cloths are important. If possible, we put a temporary canopy as rain-cover.
- What to bring
What to bring: Please bring some seasonal food & drinks (wine!) to share! It is a Celebration!! Sometimes a small flask of hot drink (for your self) is fine too. Bring what will make your own experience enjoyable! We provide ground sheets. But if you like extra comfort (sitting on the ground) pls bring a small cushion/ blanket etc for your own use.
- Clothing
What to wear: This is an outdoor event in woodland area. Weather can change. Wear sensible cloths/ outdoor shoes. It will be dark when we leave, so bring a small torch-light for yourself. Ritual clothing: You can wear whatever you like- robes, tribal look etc. Bring ritual cloths and slip it on there, or wear it as you arrive.
- Bags & valuables
Bags: Try to travel light. Bring only what’s really necessary. It’s best to have hands free so ruck-sack or shoulder bag is best. Avoid plastic shopping bags pls (unsightly in a natural woodland!). Please keep valuables with you. But bags can be left on the ground near ritual spot during ceremonies.
- Impact on Environment
Impact on Environment: We try to minimise our impact on the surroundings. These are public woods and other people use them too. When we leave the site after our event, we clean up and leave it without any trace of ritual (we’ve even stopped leaving flowers by tree-trunks!)
